  • Design and create digitized files for embroidery on garments.
  • Operate multi head embroidery machines using standard safety procedures.
  • Correctly identify correct hoop sizes to be used for each job.
  • Must be able to correctly identify the proper backing needles and thread to be used for each job.
  • Must be proficient with windows and associated software.
  • Properly open/ create digitized files in digitizing software to be used for production.
  • Properly output digitized files for production on embroidery machines.
  • Input digitized files from USB drive onto embroidery machines and properly designate color sequences for each individual design.
  • Operate a heat press using standard safety procedures.
  • Maintain machinery in good working order.
  • Keep a running inventory of threads


  • Must be able stay on feet for 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to see well enough to thread needle on embroidery machines at an efficient rate.
  • Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift over 50-60 lbs.


  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking
  • Must have some mechanical aptitude
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Some computer literacy required

Basic Job Description:

Set up or set up and operate screen printing machines to print designs onto garments like tshirts, sweatshirts etc…

Must have experience running a manual or automatic press.

Job Duties and Tasks for: "Experienced Screen Printing Machine Setter and Set-Up Operator"

1) Sets and adjusts feed rollers, spindle reel, printing screens, and bolts to specifications.

2) Starts dyeing oven and sets thermostat to temperature specified for printing run.

3) Reviews print order to determine settings and adjustments required to set up manually controlled or automatic screen printing machine or decorating equipment.

4) Determines from orders type and color of designs to print.

5) Adjusts position of design or screen to ensure specified color print registration.

6) Trains workers in use of printing equipment and in quality standards.

7) Counts and records quantities printed in production log.

8) Patrols printing area to monitor production activities and to detect problems, such as mechanical breakdowns or malfunctions.

9) Inspects printing equipment and replaces damaged or defective parts, such as switches, pulleys, fixtures, screws, and bolts.
